More About my Photoshoots

I like to make children (and their parents) feel as comfortable as possible before and during a photoshoot, and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. I've put together a list of the most frequent questions that I'm asked, which you'll find below.

If there's a question that you may have that isn't answered below, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

FAQ

How do I book a photography session?

Booking a photography session is easy. Simply click the "book your photoshoot" button at the bottom of this page. Alternativley you reach out to me through my website, email, or phone, and let me know the type of session you're interested in. I'll guide you through the process, discuss your requirements, and find a convenient date and time for your session.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A session deposit of £75 is payable upon booking. This deposit secures your session date, and will be deducted from the total cost of your package. The deposit is transferrable to another date should you need to rearrange the session. Photoshoots involving children are really at their discretion and co-operation, and so I am naturally flexible when it comes to bookings.

Where is your studio?

My home based studio is located in the pretty riverside village of Bidford-on-Avon, just a short drive from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, and Evesham. It's the ideal location for anybody looking for family photography in Warwickshire or Worcestershire. My studio is equipped with all the professional photographic and lighting equipment that you would expect for a professional newborn photoshoot, along with an extensive collection of hundreds of props, outfits, wraps, and backgrounds.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! I believe that the location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalised photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice, I'm open to capturing your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you within a 15 mile radius of the studio.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait and Cake Smash sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours, while Newborn portraits can span several hours because they are baby led sessions. I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

What happens if my baby is unwell during the photoshoot?

If your baby or child isn't well on the day of the photoshoot, you can re-arrange at no extra charge. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and we're flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritise quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

Can i buy a photoshoot for a friend or relative?

Yes, absolutely, and professional photography makes a very special gift indeed. I offer all of my packages as gift vouchers - tap the photography services button at the top of the page and choose 'Gift Vouchers' to learn more or to purchase a voucher.

how will i receive my final images?

Two weeks after your photoshoot you will be invited to a viewing session. This is where you will be presented with a gallery of your fully edited photos that you can select.

This viewing session is when you select you final images as part of your chosen photography package.

Any digital products will then delivered to you immediately via your own password protected online gallery. You can share your gallery with friends and family and download your selected images.

The mounted prints will be delivered to you as soon as I recieve them back from the proffessional printing service that I use.

What should I wear for my photoshoot?

It is always best to keep your outfits as plain and simple as possible. Black or white really make portrait photographs look timeless and don't distract from the person in the photograph. If this isn't possible then just avoid patterns and logos.

I also invite clients to take advantage of my collection of outfits for your newborn baby and birthday boy or girl for a Cake Smash session.

What payment methods can I use?

Your session deposit and balance can be paid by credit/debit card or by bank transfer. I'm afraid that I can't accept cash or cheques.
